How often do you get your septic tank inspected? Does it cross your mind regularly, or have you completely forgotten about it? If so, you should probably get it checked now.
On average, according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, a professional should inspect your tank at least every 3 years. During this inspection, they can look for any holes, problems and pump it if needed.
If you have a larger family, you probably generate more wastewater than the average family. Or, if your septic tank isn’t large enough to hold your family’s waste, it should be pumped more often than the average family.
